Oil Temp Gauge Found.
06/26/12 at 12:54:07

Found a couple of gauges that will fit the savage/S40 slightly different style and length. Price seems reasonable.   Smiley  These are M20x1.5 thread pattern. I tried to get a group buy...no luck. The price is right anyway.

It's all one piece just screw it into the access port, analog temp guage.

You need the short one teach the long one will make contact inside the case.

I have one of the short ones on my Triumph works great.  I have seen temps of 250 on hot days in traffic.

Anyone find one of these oil temp gauges that fit directly to the access port in Fahrenheit for the LS650?  The only ones I keep coming across are Celsius for our bikes  Huh

Celsius is the way to go! Zero is freezing and 100 is boiling - doesn't that make more sense? (Easy for the Canadian to say, I know...)  Wink

I use the metric temps on all my electronics as that is what most of the tech specs are in,  but everything else I'm used to the American system Tongue

Yea- the US is right up there with Burma and Liberia as world leaders in the resistance to metric. Wink
Hey- that would be an excellent job creation program for the US. Shocked
Then the rest of the world wouldn't have to convert when dealing with them.

To be honest I wouldn't mind going to the metric system,  it's much easier to understand since it's all multiples of 10 so it makes conversions to the higher or lower designations very simple.

Recently my son asked me to measure his closet so he could pack it full of stuff as he was moving out of his apartment and I told him the measurements in cubits. Grin
