and watch your milage...
no warning but a little stutter, and then on to reserve - which doesn't give you many miles before empty.

Its a lot easier to pull the petcock to prime than hit the reserve. Same effect as far as how many miles are left. At highway speeds, you need prime anyway, cuz the bowl is about dry when you find out its time to do anything.,

Thanks for all the great info. Yea I've taken the sporty to to AZ and SoCal a few times and north to the foothill bars when there is still snow, I push the little sporty pretty hard for a 1.9gal tank. I have a fuel bottle that can give me an extra 20 miles if needed. As far as vibrations on the handlebars, I uses some sort of fast drying spray foam insulator my buddy gave me. Vibration-B-Gone! Having troubles with the savage on holding charge on the battery but it looks like I'll be getting another sporty soon so the savage might not take the long trip at all. If I do take the Savage I'll keep my speed in check.
