Do I have the stock petcock?

I don't have a picture handy (sorry!), but my petcock doesn't seem to have an OFF position marked. It has PRI, ON, and RES (which I figure to be Prime and Reserve).
Also, the Clymer manual gives instructions to remove the tank, but does not say the petcock needs to be removed to do so. However, it hits the frame when I try to slide or lift the tank.
What gives?

Good looking out.
I'll jerk around with it some more, but I might just bite the bullet and remove the petcock. I even had my buddy scratching his head over this. He was shocked...never seen a tank so hard to remove! lol

Some are harder than others to remove. Mine only needed to be wiggled slightly at the rear to clear the frame. Some folks change to a manual petcock for this or other reasons. Also, some head caps can be removed without loosening the engine, but some can't. Just the luck of the draw, I guess.
