Swapping Cam questions
03/09/12 at 18:25:06

I'm planning to swap out the stock cam on my '02 with a stage 1 and have a couple questions. Do I need to pull the timing chain cover for the job?
Also will I have problems with the timing chain tensioner falling apart when I pull the gear from the cam and release the tension.
Just want to get the ducks in a row before I spill oil all over the floor of my shop Wink

yes

yes, push it in and put a tab under the latch.

you can make a tab from a doubled over zip tie.

Thanks, guess I'll be putting on the new timing chain also. If I'm going in that far might as well do everything at once.
