HD Dyna Muffler Issue/Winter Tuning

So I've been attempting to do a winter tune up on my bike. That includes fixing the exhaust leak with the HD Dyna I have installed.

While working on it, I noticed that when I shake the muffler it has a 'sandy' feel in it. I can poor some of what appears to be soot sand out of it after I shake it enough. Is it possible the baffle came loose? If so, are there any performance ramifications and do I need to trash it? I have a replacement on hand if need be.

My second issue comes from tuning. I have the HD Dyna muffler on the bike and a none filter. Currently I have a 152.5 Main and 52.5 no vents pilot. I plan on re-jetting to a Main 55. No Vents Pilot. When I start my bike, it revs high for a few seconds before settling to a somewhat inconsistent idle. Is this suggestive of any sort of condition, lean rich or otherwise? I'm not sure why the bike would start with a rev, I insured the throttle is closed and idle screw is adjusted. Carb was cleaned just a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for any input.

Shake some of that "soot sand" out onto the floor... if a magnet will pick it up,.. yer' muffler is toast..  If not, it's just carbon build-up...

Huh?... Huh...

Revving up then settling at start is not jetting...  Do you have a Raptor?...
Might have a slow leak that puddles overnight...

Ment to say 55 pilot. No bleed holes.

I do have a raptor installed.

I put the new jet and pretty much resolved the exhaust leak. I have the idle mixture set to 1.5 turns. When i started it it wanted to cut out and was accompanied by excessive backfiring...

I wasnt able to set the idle mix in the shop. Stuck a little screwdriver in my pocket & went for a ride. Once it was warmed up good, & started very slowly, like 1/8th turn, making adjustments at red lights till I got it like I wanted it, it was a decent ride,.,
