If by some strange quirk of fortune I were to survive something like that, I'd have to change my skivvies.

Ive never been messed up enough to even consider such a move as even being physically possible.. I swear theres no way to initiate such a maneuver just flying off a ramp.,. I see his head drop to the left & I see some arm movement on the bars, but danged if I can see how that drives the whole mass of bike & rider thru all those gyrations.

That boys goin to jail for breakin the laws of physics..
If they dont lock him away for bein crazy first.

OHH, & thanks Rowboat for the link,, & for makin the pic bigger.

Yea BabyHog

I'm with you on this one !!!   The trick was : "Making it look like he did that on purpose" !  Grin

Remines me of a 90dergee , 4 inch pavement rise I hit once ,   The Front tire bounced 3foot off the ground then the back tire did the same which drove the front tire back to the ground bottoming the front shocks out.   So the bike goes along on the front wheel with the rearend 4 foot off the ground at 50 mph for the next thirity yards.   I just grined and prented it happened on purpose, then went home and changed clothes !  Grin Grin didn't seem so funny at the time !

He probably practiced that trick 1000 times. What they do is set up a pit of small foam blocks then practice the trick landing in the pit of foam with the bike. They usually use a crane or winch to get the bike out of the pit after each attempt.

I hung out with the gymnastics team in college & tried to learn a backflip,, ( Note,, I TRIED). The first time climbing out of the foam wasnt too bad, but its suffocating in there & climbing out is a difficult thing, very tiring. & I was a roughneck, I could run a mile under 5 minutes & ride a 10 speed for hours at a pretty fast pace,, but that pit just sapped me,
