Does adding more air and fuel = running hotter? If you adjust AF ratio, wouldn't the engine run at the same temp, just more air and fuel pumping through? Higher compression ratio would = running hotter I would think. Does that justify the colder plug? Hmmmmm

plug must be hot enuff to keep from fouling
cold enuff to prevent pre ignition and attain max power

cold plug will NOT materially cool down engine run temp

hot or cold refers to tip temp which is governed by insulator length..

our bikes are air/oil cooled tho they have no stock oil cooler

i have an oil temp gauge on my S40 highest temp ive seen is about 200F at a stop light @ 100F ambient for a few seconds..
dino oils wil start to break down at 240F
without starting another oil war use syn oil for motorcycles i use amsoil got over 13k on my 06
