Drill a small hole through the rubber and backing plate. Wire with small guage flexible wire. Wire toward front so as to not interfere with tank replacement. Don't pull it tight enough to twist it it sideways. No more crawling around looking for these "silent jumpers".

Or just epoxy it. Then grease the outsides of the pucks so the tank slides on and off easier.

Neither epoxy or silicone or 3M weatherstrip glue lasted more than a couple of uses. The wire is not going to come loose if I accidentally bump it while reinstalling the tank.
