Source for cables

I'm looking to put some of voodoo vintage's mini-apes on my '07 s40. I've looked all over for people doing similar and although I've seen the motion pro site, where I could get the throttle and clutch cable, but i've yet to see a recommended source for a brake hose. Also everybody keeps saying "get braided steel," well I will if you give me a reliable source for it. Anybody in a similar situation? Anybody got cable anywhere other than motionpro? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same situation with some mini-apes that were taken off a Wide Glide.

I've asked the question before in other posts and directly through PMs to some of the members. Seems like there is MotionPro & Barnett for the cables and the local bike shops should be able to set you up with a new brake line and fittings.

Interested to see how those voodoo bars turn out for you, I would've considered them, but I had just won the others on eBay the day before he posted them up.

Good luck and let us see how they turn out.

I checked in at my local (non dealer) chopper shop and that guy said he could get me a set of cables for 120-150 bucks.  I think I will go that route when I am ready.  I want to try and support that small local business.  Maybe there is a similar shop near you.

If that quote is for throttle/clutch cables & brake line then you got a good deal.

I get custom brake lines from this guy:

http://www.zrxoa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=177390

Scroll down to the HEL brake lines. You'll need to be able to give him length, fitting types and angles.

And though I've never bought cables from this second guy, I've gotten other things from him. He can get you Galfer lines.

Tell either one MotoBuddha sent you.

There's a great outfit in CalIfornia called GALFER. Google 'em. They do custom lines of all kinds and can get you rotors and pads and all that stuff...
They are great folks... You can actually talk to a real person there...
