RYCA Build (From the group up)
10/23/11 at 17:22:40

So my plan is to paint the frame the same color, do all the upgrades to the motor (97mm wiseco piston, stage 2 cam, etc...)18/45 chain conversion and finalize everything with the RYCA Kit on gloss black.

Today I started finishing the work I started a couple of days. I just had an hour and half to disassemble the bike completely inside my apart before my girlfriend came inside the apart with a huge mess...MAN IN A MISSION. I received the help of a friend that by the way he was performing, i could tell it was his first time using a tool.

Here are some pictures before and after.
BEFORE

This is me.

almost done!!! 30 minutes left!!

time to clean and get rid of the evidence of what i just did in the entrance of my apart.

and everything is done just in time to have my GF back in the house...the carpet still dirty!! i told her it was my shoes from working with the bike outside lol

she thought it was kind of weird that i was making her stand there holding the dog while i took a picture  Cool

nice start. I sure hope you have a little more room to work with than the hallway though. Once that build starts, things are going to be tight in there.

I dont have a truck or a trailer so i needed to get this thing apart to send the parts to the respected places to start the work.

the motor im doing it in my desk in another room.... and the frame is going to be work in my friend's shop, the swing arm and the RYCA rear set (maybe is going to be modified by one of the members here)

PS this is going to be a slow work since most of the time im in school or working. I hope this to be my winter project and to have it ready for spring  Grin

True that. Is a big leasing corporation and i would rather destroy this place that my own. Cool but im been careful making sure i dont mess anything that will end up costing me $$$.

PS still is fun having food, beverage, and the bathroom close to you!

That last pic of your girl, the dog, and the carpet look like an ad for Target department stores...

Anyone wanna PM me and tell me about the different cam stages or know where I can read up on them for our bike?

In your title, what does (from the group up) mean?

from the ground up:

From the most basic level to the highest level; completely.

Since I completely disassembled the bike to the "bones" (frame) or should i say ground and now i have to assemble it back to the ryca kit. Also, the engine is going to be semi disassemble since im getting a bigger piston, port & polishing the exhaust port and the valves port and stage 2 cam from lancer.

Ah.  I know what from the ground up means.  I just thought you were implying something else with "from the group up."
