Wow, thanks so much for sharing that.  I actually grew up in Germany.  My dad was stationed at several different USAF bases there.  I love it and miss it so much.  Those pictures of the towns and the Alps bring back some fantastic memories.  It's funny how you can feel happy and euphoric from remembering then swing to depressed because you miss something.

I have seen companies that run motorcylce tours through germany today.  I think I learned about them from the adds in the back of motrcycle magazines.  You rent bikes and take guided tours.  I would love to do somethign like that some day.
