Hello bike people!

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything on the forum.  We've been cranking out our custom Savage frames for over two years now with an ever-growing following!  I'd post more often, but these ARE production frames and you'd just be looking at the same old pictures again and again.

We do have some news however...

Recently, we've prototyped the Yamaha XS650 frame (SUICIDE) and along the way, calculated that with a few moderate changes, it could be adapted to the LS650 - S40 engine!

Here's a few shots of the XS650 frame in progress:

Here's a shot showing the smooth straight lines of the frame rendering the design a more "classic chopper" feel...

This particular neck tube had to be milled as the stock bearings are a little large on the XS650.  In most cases, I will fabricate the frame using the customer's original neck tube with VIN intact just to avoid problems with registration. (Granted he has a clear title!)

The 3/8" axle plates are precision CNC plasma cut and finished to provide a clean application and alignment.

We are specially careful of the dry fitment of all joints in order to provide a solid and clean weld.

Again... The clean lines of the frame!

That looks amazing !

Cant wait to see the tig "roll o dimes".

What kind of material was used ?
How long does it take to produce something like this ?
When will this be available for us normal folk ?
Able to give all of us frothing at the mouth a rough price estimate ? ( without shipping of course. )  Cheesy

Thanks for the great comments!

The frame is fabricated from 1-1/8" and 1-1/4" DOM.  Most frames you find on the market are made from 1" only.  These are "beefy" frames!

I'd love to show you that TIG stack of dimes, but I only TIG very critical small components.  What a lot of people don't understand is that TIG produces a very high heat in a very isolated area.  TIG welds tend to be more brittle than MIG.  And...  If you are good enough with a MIG, you can still get that "stack-o-dimes"!   Wink

The frames (without shipping of course) are between $780 to $850 depending on the style.  This one in particular should reside somewhere in the $825 range...  I ship through Greyhound Freight for around $100.  Typical production time on a frame is around three weeks.

I'm not sure when I'll have the LS650 (SUICIDE) frame available, as I need to make minor dimension adjustments, but it should be soon.

We currently only offer the LS650 in the SHORT-CHOP and HIGH-RISE styles.  Both of those frames are $795 at the moment...

You can check us out here if you like: http://www.voodoovintage.com

By the way...  We've recently been getting a TON of inquiries about a weld-on hard tail for the Savage.  We'll be looking into this soon!

Check out his website.

All the old school "badges" at the top of his home page are the actual links to products/his FB.

Voodoo,

I just sent you a PM about some bars, and a potential custom sheet metal real basic no frills fender for a stock bike.

If you got rid of the seat shock it would look 10x better. It is just out of place.

Yeah... It gets hidden when the electronics can is installed, but a leaf-spring assembly would look really good!

I think your complicating the simple lines of the bike. When you add "new" technology to old styling the two sometimes don't mesh well. Even a leaf spring will add more clutter.

Conventional springs or no springs would look good best on that frame, but that is just my opinion.

I love the shock seat set up.  To me it adds a nice modern looking twist to it.
