Replacing Headlight
10/05/11 at 12:19:12

Noticed that my headlight has cracks on both sides of the plastic piece that connects to the bucket. Figure it’s just a matter of time before it breaks off completely. Would like to replace with a metal light. Will probably have to modify/make a piece that connects to the fork for whatever I get.

Doses anybody have any suggestions as to what and where to get or should I just cruise eBay for a unit. I am not going to spend hundreds on this, just sometime that is reasonably affordable and does the job.

HD headlights are available at a good price on ocassion.  mounts with a single bolt at the base.  depending on the light could be a single hole in the tripple tree or a bracket.

Also, GS series side mount headlights can be adapted, many good side mount brackets available.
