I always change my wet batteries as soon as I buy a new bike.  Always liked and had good luck with Odyssey but didn't want to buy full-size since I didn't like all the stuff involved with getting at it on the Savage.  Went to the Odyssey web page and saw the PC310 which is half the size.  Cut the battery box in half, used a battery rubber hold down I had and made a new longer positive cable to go to the solenoid.  Battery is instantly accessible now for using test lead, jumping another, powering a light, etc.  Easy to take out too with only 2 allen head screws to remove.  By the way old battery is available for cheap to anyone who wants it in Orange County, Ca.  I have it on a battery tender right now.  It's nearly 2 months old but has only been used for 3 days on the bike.

Nice. That thing definitely sticks out and makes ya take notice though.

I really need to fix my oil leak. I want my bike to look clean like that for more than 1 day =/
