Got the bike back. Took it for a 250Km break in. Very nice.

Since the back brake was worse than when I took it in I've now taken it apart and hockey sticks is that thing ever stuck but good. I've taken the entire cable off and have it hanging right now with a few squirts of WD-40 in both ends. She doesn't want to slide at all.

Anyone have any tips or should I be looking for a new brake cable after all?

Here's the idea I had that's stock on another bike...



I just cut 1 groove in the middle of the shoe.

Probably helps clear the dust out from the pad.

After pulling the brake cable out, I'm pretty sure that it's the cable not the brake itself. I couldn't slide the cable more than about an 1/8".
