I picked up some stuff at harbor freight that seems like the same kind of item, this stuff is called "evaporust" it's non toxic and reusable.I found a rusted up old nut in the dirt behind the shop I work at and gave it an overnight soak.the results were very surprising.
here's before......

Here's after......

I watched some o the slideshow on the sire Versy linked,, thats just amazing,, Liquid Sandblaster,,

The nut that soaked overnight,, I was amazed, From the rust that was on it, I expected to see some real pitting, It looks like it would still work,, seems that much rust would indicate more metal being gone,, ehh, what do I know, ehh?
