I had a picture in my head when I bought this bike a few months ago. Without this forum it wouldn't have been possible to make the picture a reality.
All this project lacks is some paint, but I had to post some pics now. I'll post a few more when the paint is dry.

Thanks man.
I had access to a few specialty tools thru a friend, but for the most part this was just me in my garage using tools on hand. There are a lot of wrenches on this site, but I'm proof you don't have to be one. You just have to be able to read & follow instructions, ask questions, and get your hands dirty.

Mostly for my own benefit I'll recap here all the things done so far:

replaced bucks with flat bars ("broomstick")
replaced mirror
removed front fender
removed crash bars/hwy pegs
made cheap bike lift to drop rear wheel
removed passenger pegs (after dropping rr wheel)
bullet signals front and back
moved voltage reg to air box
custom tail light
replaced rear fender with custom (trailer fender)
side mounted plate with light (horizontal to be legal here)
replaced muffler with HD
wrapped exhaust
replaced air filter with chrome cone
replaced seat
painted shocks black
tweaked the carb a little for the intake/exhaust changes

Things left to do:
paint tank and fender
replaced petcock with Raptor (ordered)
replace that @!%* head plug (procrastinating)
get another Savage and do it again even bigger  Cheesy

Best visor ever for an open face helmet. Covers well but the slight goggle shape means it won't fog up.

How did you get your seat made? Did you just use a template from the stock pan? Looks GREAT!

Man, I found that seat on Ebay. Its a direct fit, front and back, for the Savage, and I was leaning away from a spring seat.

Look up Bob's Chop Shop (warning, some NSFW content on there). He was the seller, but I didn't realize it until he told me. He has a blog and has done about 7 or 8 Savage Bobber projects and they make for some awesome eye candy and inspiration.

Just cruised his eBay store, TON of stuff still up but no seats  Sad
I wonder if he'll take a commission for another one. Nice find!
