Anti Seize Coumpound at the drugstore

Gov't issue Anti - Seize!! My bud at work is a retired jet engine mechanic. He worked on jets in the USAF for 30 years. They bought mass quantities of Milk Of Magnesia and treated the steel bolts to a dip in the old milk before installing into an aluminum engine. For real.
I haven't done any motorcycle engine repairs in a while, but I have the MoM ready when I do.
Thanks for the tip Georgie

MOM could give your bike the "runs". I've heard that Mylanta or Maalox does the same thing. And nail polish used to be my "default" threadlock on my firearms.

A former coworker was an Air Force mechanic in the Vietnam War. He said their two main tools were " a big f-ing screwdriver and rag wrench."
"Rag wrench?"
"Yea, a pilot would be doing a preflight check and see an oil leak. When he was looking the other way we'd wipe it with a rag. Presto, leak fixed."

If a helicopter isn't leaking oil, don't fly in it cause there isn't any oil left to leak.
I wish I still had my copy of the Army Battle Field Damage, Assessment and Repair manual, it had all kinds of stuff that could be used as substitutes for oil, fuel, etc.....
