be seen!

To All My Riding Buds & Budettes - those of you who know me know i dont ride unless i am wearing hi-vis something, vest, long sleeve shirt, or jacket and possible hi-vis chaps & hi-vis helmet.....well for those of you who dont want to go that far but want a little help with the "can you see me now?" riding hazard I have run accross a very nice couple in Washington State that makes hi-vis items for dogs, collars , hang tags, leg bands etc.....I just added a hang tag and some leg bands to my new black back pack for better vis from behind.....these items can be worn by humans as well as animals - the point be seen! why risk the "i didnt see you" response from some doofus motorist by taking no measures to ensure your visiblity - it is cheap and it works...and for those of you who walk at night and dont want to wear a hi-vis vest get some arm and leg bands and those of you who have animals check this out.....this is not a paid endorsement - I just like the products and beleive in being seen.

Here's a fun little vid...

1. Why are they videotaping?...

2. What's the jacket in the road?...

3.  if both of those are coincidence,... What is the guy thinking, riding across that traffic without looking?...

Looks like a jackass stunt... Huh...

1. cause the can?
2. think it's just shitsky.
3. They waited for the crosswalk to turn and it did, so they crossed.
Here's the point of posting it here... see and be seen.
dingle berries blew thru the light cause there was still traffic in the intersection.  Don't blow thru a line of even stopped traffic assuming cause you gotta light you're good to go.  Be prepared to stop and look.  If she went 6 more feet, he would've went thru her windshield.

I still see a red light facing the cyclists , as legal vehicles they follow road rules not pedestrian rules.
To be a pedestrian and utilize pedestrian crossing indicators, they should have been walking their bikes.

That being said, the driver of the car was an idiot as well for both running a light and approaching an intersection filled with cars at that rate of speed.

In the strictest application of the rules you're right dinny.
but bikes are a special type of vehicle allowed to use pedestrian paths.  So the rights of each tend to get blurred.  Above the x walk, the pedestrian sign is indicating "walk"  2wheeled doofus should "walk" his bike in the x walk, but generally excepted to ride at a reasonble rate, not sprint with abandon.
