Thousands of bikes converge on a small town on the north Shore of Lake Erie from all over southern Ont and Ohio. I was planning to go with three buddies but that fell through, and the weather is going to deteriorate this afternoon anyway. It's 2 hours each way from London. Oh well, there's always next year. :'(
I met up with the three guys who were supposed to go with me. We decided not to got to Dover because of the predicted rain and ran up to Bayfield instead. No rain. No rain at Dover either. Five hours in the saddle, the best Reuben and Belgian beer I ever had at a pub in Bayfield, windscreen almost opaque with bugs, one of which got up my sleeve and stung me, ran out of gas, and I feel much better today than I thought I would (no aches or pains, thank you Corbin).
Probably a better day than Dover would have been.
There are three Dover runs next year- January (not going) April, and July.
