It's the Port Dover run today. It happens every Friday 13th. Thousands of bikes converge on a small town on the north Shore of Lake Erie from all over southern Ont and Ohio. I was planning to go with three buddies but that fell through, and the weather is going to deteriorate this afternoon anyway. It's 2 hours each way from London. Oh well, there's always next year.   :'(

I'm not worried about the 13th, but I am worried about all the crazies thinking the world's going to end on the 21st.

21st.

So they are trying to say that I shouldn't worry about attending my younger daughter's graduation on the 21st because we won't be here to see it anyway?

I don't think so.

Maybe I can claim I personally held back the destruction of the world because I was bound and determined to see my daughter graduate? You think they would believe that?

Then the entire world would bow down a worship me MMMMWWWWWWAAAAAHHHHAAAAAAHHHHAAAAA

Keep dreaming, though it was worth a try wasn't it?

I bumped into that May 21st end of the world bozo about six weeks ago. Had a great time telling him that he was crazy after letting him run on for about 1/2 a minute, he sounded liked a total moron. Friday the 13th is bad luck only if you are a Knights Templar. I don't think there are any left, thier order was purged sometime back around the 15th century on can you guess it?
Friday the 13th. Shocked

I used to beleive F-13 was my curse - on every F-13 everything i touched turned to poo - i started taking all F-13 off work so i could not make big piles of poo just to come back on the following Monday to clean up - that all lasted from age 18 thru age 45 - last 3-4 years the F-13 poo factor has been a non issue - I have worked right thru them and not really given it that much of a thought.....mind over matter - if you dont mind - it dont matter!

"It's the Port Dover run today."

Arteacher, I missed this year's run also. I've been there a couple of times, the last one was (I think) three years ago.

The topless ladies...er I mean the bikes looked great.

Love those liberal Ontario laws.  Wink

I met up with the three guys who were supposed  to go with me. We decided not to got to Dover because of the predicted rain and ran up to Bayfield instead. No rain. No rain at Dover either. Five hours in the saddle, the best Reuben and Belgian beer I ever had at a pub in Bayfield, windscreen almost opaque with bugs, one of which got up my sleeve and stung me, ran out of gas, and I feel much better today than I thought I would (no aches or pains, thank you Corbin).
Probably a better day than Dover would have been.
There are three Dover runs next year- January (not going) April, and July.
