Clutched Suicide Shifter

Hey all,

I've found some topics regarding these, but all seem to be custom made... anybody know of anywhere which will make a compatible kit? I've found dozens of Harley sites, but I doubt they will work.  I'm looking for the hand shift/clutch combo as opposed to the hand shift/foot clutch version which is a little more dangerous.

Anyone with a machine shop willing to give it a go? Cheesy

Cheers all,

Ian

Look in The Horse Back Street Choppers magazine. Anybody who handles late model Triumph stuff should have no problem fabbing something up. Try Brewdude, he should be in the advertiser's directory. He specializes in off the wall stuff.

I found a place which has done a similar version on an older Triumph which should be fairly similar...

Hopefully they reply and tell me some good news!

looks cool, but how much of a throw does that thing have?
I envisioned something with a pivot point and linkage.

That's way cool and appears to be quite simple...is there any reason why someone couldn't do the same to a Savage. Re-route the clutch cable or replace with a shorter one and fab up a lever.

Yeah it was Chops bike that gave me the idea of doing it.

Unfortunately I don't have a machine shop so I've contacted the boys at Barnstorm Cycles and they already said they could do it no problem; we'll see at what cost.

Will Keep Ya'll posted,

Ian

I've decided that I don't think this set up is for me. It looks amazing, and I still want it, but I can't justify risking my life driving with way.... if there's an emergency and I need to clutch in real quick and slam on the brakes whilst holding onto the handlebars with one hand  - I can't see that ending well.

Perhaps a foot clutch and jockey shift I will look into.

Will Keep ya'll posted;

Thanks

Ian
