I just had to share this. Its spring gobbler season, so we spent last Friday night in our still-unfinished cabin, to turkey hunt on Saturday morning. We still have no electric, and our only heat is a small cast-iron wood burning stove. It works fine, but doesn't hold enough wood to last all night. Thinking it was only going to get down to 40° or so, we got it nice and toasty, and thought there was no sense getting up through the night to re-light the fire. Big mistake! Woke up f-f-f-f-reezing my buns off! Even the dog was cold! We have a blow-up mattress on the floor, and Dudley was sleeping on a blanket beside us, but when I woke up, he tried to climb in with us. Crawled up behind hubby's head and went back to snoring! I wish I had taken a video, but was able to capture a few pics. He'd snore, hubby would snore, and I'd giggle.
Is this not just the sweetest?
