2005 S40 will not turn over
04/22/11 at 19:45:18

I have a 2005 S40 that was running fine last week when I put it up. Yesterday, I got it out, and it would not turn over--no click, no starter drag, nothing. The key switch is on, and the lights, turn signals, horn, etc, all work. The engine does not appear to be locked up. The battery is new and charged, and checks good. All the fuses I can find are good.

Any ideas about a likely cause would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Kickstand is down; I've tried it up and down, and gone through the gears, still nothing. I will check the connectors near the horn, and check the start switch a little better. I have a feeling that it may be the engine kill switch, but I am just not sure--and frankly not all that familiar with the bike yet. But it was running great when I parked it last weekend.
Thanks for the advice; any other ideas would be appreciated.

Fixed It !
Starter button contacts. Took it apart, cleaned everything, and it cranked right up. I swear I didn't think it would be that simple. Thanks for all the answers and help. Greatly appreciated !
