They re-badged the 250 Virago to a Star...

... just like we re-badged the Savage to an S40...

Far superior to a Rebel though...

I know a guy that has one, hes a decent enough kid. He thought just because he had a twin he could beat me....... That wasn't even close to what happened lol. Seems like a pretty decent bike though.

Nice looking lil star..
With the increase fuel prices,
it is bound to be a good seller.
A great starter bike for someone
that has never ridden a bike before.
Will it out sell the Rebel? Time will tell. Smiley kim

That was the choice in my head when I decided to buy a bike.  Then my husband found my S40, we thought "250 vs 650?" and bought the S40 instead.  I took the MSP class a few weeks after buying the S40.  A couple of the training bikes were VStar 250's (I claimed one quickly), and boy was I glad I chose Piglet instead.  The VStar was a nice little bike, for a beginner.  But I wouldn't have kept it long.  Would have been a waste of time and money for me!

I expect gas to jump before long. A lot of people will buy motorcycles to save gas and park them in about a month. There should be a good supply of low mileage bikes, garage kept (in the corner), in a year or so. Saw an add on Craigslist awhile back. In the same ad. 2 2009 Kawasaki cruisers at a steal. One had about 4000 miles and the other had 600 or so miles. "But honey, it's something we can do together, and it will save gas. I promise. You'll love it." You don't have to be a genius to know how that went.  Grin
