YES!! I love the look of that Bike!! What displacement? I'm sure the saddle on that would be too tall for a short-arse like me though ...

EDIT: Doh!!! just noticed it's a 125 ... that in a 450 would be AWESOME!

They have a lot of small motorcycles in England, such as the Suzuki DR125SM:  http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/bike/dr125smsml0/

They will not be selling it in North America.  They will not sell city motorcycles.  IF you want small, you can only have scooters.

With gas prices predicted to go over $5.00 a gallon, companies may rethink that policy...
80+ mpg might be a strong selling point...

Right on Bot, Aprillia is coming out with a 125cc 4 stroke sportbike scheduled to release this fall, of course Honda's 250 sportbike is scheduled for its release in the next couple of months. I've swore up and down I'm not gonna buy another bike for a while but when KTM releases the Duke in a 250 model, oh well I hope my feet cant touch the ground.  Roll Eyes Everyone on this website knows what the major manufacturers are finally figuring out, you can have a barrel of economical fun with 30HP.

I had a '67 Yamaha Twinjet -- parallel, two cylinders, two strokes, two mufflers, two coils, two carburetors, 100cc.  That little toy had 9.5 bhp and could do 65 mph on the freeway.   125cc is all you need in the city.

I had one of those Twin Jet 100's (blue and chrome)  laying flat accross the top of it on the interstate it would allmost do 80 mph and still wheele first gear with just a whip of the throdle.   Great little bike   that was my second bike , a big jump-up from a Honda 65cc that topped out at 56mph., ofcourse the 65 got over 100 mpg.

nice to see a picture of one again.!

Anybody been looking at the "BadAss" 125cc   ,  I found an article of two guys taking one coast to coast.    Looks like a nice toy.

Cool

I read the cross country article. I've always wanted a 650 Duke but visions of being laid up in a body cast prevented me from buying one. I was serious when I said I hope my feet dont touch the ground when KTM comes out with the 250 Duke. Maybe my saving grace is the local KTM dealer went out of business. The motorcycle companys have been building the small fun bikes for the Europeans for years. Its great that they are beginning to realise that some of us over here might enjoy them too. Speaking of badass 125's, this one will be available this fall!!!!!!

I think the problem with small bikes in the US is the freeway problem,
jump on a freeway and giver her all she's got and there are very few 125s can get up there, a good 250 could  but you would kill it very shortly,Lets face our beloved Savage has a hard time on freeways,
In Iowa,Utah, and Wyoming the speed limit is 75mph ,200 miles at that speed and the savage would give up the ghost. My 250 ninja could do 98mph .,I did get a ton out of her down hill, but even at 75 she was screaming pretty good , I forgot what the actual rpm was at 75 ,enough to wear the engine out in short order.
But still the best fun I ever had on a motorcycle. I sure miss it.
