Help identifying wire
01/11/11 at 11:29:27

There is a small solid blue wire with a female white connector that I'm having trouble identifying its mate. Some of my masking tape markers have managed to slip off with the oily grime of my rebuild. The wire is up on top of the frame next to the tank wire cluster. I'm assuming it is a ground; because I have two male ground wires with the same size wire white male connectors un-mated. One of the ground wires is the neutral indicator wire from the crankcase and the other is from the negative battery cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The blue wires go together.

I don't have a blue wire to mate up with this connector. I went back to see if i might have mistakenly attached a blue wire with something else, but no luck. I only have the two black wires mentioned above.  Angry

Can anyone take a look and see where the neutral indicator wire from the crankcase terminates. thanks,

The only blue wire i see in the clymer manual is for the Neutral switch and neutral Light on the tank.

Does anyone know if the neutral indicator wire coming out of the crankcase run up towards the underside if the gas tank?
