Look what the mailman brought me today!

I got my jardine in today, still waiting for the jet kit and k&n air filter. Also waiting for the "new to me seat" to get in. Still gotta order the catseye tail light, turn signals and a few other things. All this and still trying to save up money for a custom paint job, I've been quoted $1000 from these guys

. Got big dreams but little dough, lol.

Jardine - not for the timid! We await the sound report.
With that and the K&N filter.. gonna raise the main jet to about 160?

nuts yeah peeps, it's called a thumper! LOL. As for the jet size, idk, gonna do some trial and error, see what runs the best. Its gonna be a little while before I start it up and rejet it, wanna finish the fender job first. Gotta sand down the rear fender and get it repainted, it was all scratched and marred from the sissy bar (i think whoever owned it before tried to take it off and didn't know what they were doing). I'll let you all know and see how it turns out when "finished" (never really finished).

That POS sissy bar
is IMPOSSIBLE to remove without scratching the fender! I didn't want a sissy bar, so after scratching my own fender removing it, I traded side-rails with another guy on here, and warned him about it. Got a message later to the effect of "YOU WEREN'T KIDDING!" Dude scratched his fender too.

Yep, scratched the heII out of mine too. Fixed it with a little touch up paint and that has done the trick for the last couple years. Maybe a paint job next year.

Thanks Lancer, will do. I'm removing the side rails altogether, just gettin some aftermarket turn signals and not bothering with them at all. I'm kinda glad to know it wasn't just me and whoever owned the bike before me. Oh well, gonna need a nice well sanded base before I can get a nice paint job.

The cinderblock bike stand is a nice idea. If only you folks in Syracuse neighborhood got some snow occassionallly, you could find the time to put the goodies on your bike. Have fun.
