Suggestions for a West Coast Run

You guys on the West Coast have some neat stuff you could include in a West Coast Savage run during this up coming year.

Wacky stuff like the Red Bull Run .....

and if you want, you could gather to cheer on our various list members as they compete in the races .....

Going troll huntin'?  or just cruizin' around?

From where to where?  And when?

You could spend weeks in San Diego hitting all the curves.
Or cruise from top to bottom or vice versa.

San Diego is where I lived before I retired, great city,my favorite city in the USA  with Boston coming in second,NY city 3rd.
I'm not sure when It will coinside with the speed week M/Cs and cars.
not sure of the dates yet.from there go south to a place near SLC
I think it's called Tooele ,or something like that, they have some classic bike races there ,with bikes I am very familiar with..
I noticed it took place last year end of august early September, be about then I guess, I will check for sure later.

I hear ya there, I can't wait for it to warm up enough to make it pleasant to ride.  I went out this week, and once last month, but was bundled up enough to be able to sell tires! Grin (Michelin Man)

The area ride would be fun.  I usually work the days most normal people have off, but if circumstances allow, I'd be tempted to take time off for something like that.

Yeah, there's some good riding up there.  Haven't been in several months though, I think it was around hunting season since there were tents and campers everywhere.  Cougar's the only little town up there that springs to mind, and from there up to the viewpoint on the south side of the mountain has some awesome roads.  There's also a nice road that goes from the mountain south to Dalton and onto SR14 and back up the Gorge to Vancouver.  Great road, but you'd have to top off the Savage's since the fill ups are a little far between.
