My first bike ever.the one pictured was not mine but mine looked just like it except mine was alot cleaner,in fact mine was spotless,I owned it for a year before being allowed out on it,I was underage, I / we my Dad and I stripped it down 3 times before he let me do it my self ,after I did it successfully he took us out to the local air strip, to learn the fine art of going faster than any one else,I had already learned to ride his norton and a 125 BSA Bantem trials bike,but having MINE was so much better, mine was a 1937.tha same age as me Wink

look at the license plate.
it's a 250. Ever since, a 250 has been my favorite size engine for a bike,with the right man (not me) tuning a 250 you can get about as much speed as you can any bike.
There was a guy in Swansea "Hugh Moffett" he could tune a 250 Rudge just like the one in the above picture and get it into racing form and achieve 118 mph he always had a couple racing in the Isle of Man
every year while I was growing up, I think he won one as well,he did not race,he always thought it was to dangerious. If you saw him out on the road any time,he would sure give a run for your money

I've thought about trimming it back in the summer though. I can tuck it into my winter jackets, but the summer one has a pretty low collar, and if ya just let it all down in the wind, it's a big mess later. Grin

Need to find me a girlfriend that can braid I guess; I can barely braid rope, let alone hair! Grin

And I envy anyone good enough to sing in front of actual people, I can't carry a tune in a bucket. Roll Eyes

Don't remember the song, but the band was "Dead Junkie." We had a lot of fun.

Can't see it in the later photo of me and the bike, but the silver streak is on it's way. Some grays up front. Eh, no big deal. Doesn't bother me at all.

When my Dad got Cancer, he talked about the little kids he saw losing their hair from the chemo, so I decided to donate my hair to help make wigs for the kids and women with the Cancer. I've done it twice so far. Have to wait about 5 years until I have 10" for them.
