All,
Spent some time making this and use it a lot, so if it helps you, have at it. It is the "microfische" from my local dealer (they call it "OEM Parts Finder") and the prices are from summer of 2007. It should be noted at the time I made this these prices were about 10% higher than Ronayers.com, but it's good to see a "ball park" price.
It's a
BIG
file, 5.9 megabytes. I
t requires you have Adobe Reader
(
http://www.adobe.com
)
1) Many of the parts are used by other model years,...
BUT
..... some are not.
2) It is real handy to see how things fit together.
3) I actually printed a copy and use the printout heavily, but....it's 75 pages long. Save a tree, print double sided please.....

Oh the tedium of putting that together.
Thank you.
Yea,.... took about 4 hours (not all in one sitting). Lots of copy & pasting into MS Excel and then cleaning up the unwanted spaces.
Why did I make this.... well you have to remember that I bought my Savage with the engine in pieces and in a few boxes. I needed the exploded views to see how it went back together.
Also, this lists as a 2001 list but it does cover most other years. Only a few changes.

Engine wise....I can't think of any changes - although somewhere in 2005 the rocker arms got hardened wearing surfaces.
However there were big wiring changes in 2004 - 4 way flashers, high beam flasher switch, headlight dims when starter button is pushed (not sure exactly when the headlight dimming as changed).
