Some years ago a man from Washington State kayaked to Hawaii in about 60 days or so.  When he hit the beach it was night and he couldn't stand.
He belly crawled up the beach pulling the Kayak with him.  As he was massaging his legs trying to get them to work, a local found him and asked where he had come from. When he said California the said, "Wow, bet that took about a week.
