Fellow had been watching too much TV. Guns aren't for intimidation, you are suppost to aim and pull the trigger. Being as this is in So. Cal. the driver will most likely be prosacuted for using excessive force.

When my kids were born they were in the hospital for a month till their weight increased.  For a month, my wife and I were going downtown after work and staying till they booted us out.  So one night, a fellow waiting at the corner see us pull up to the light and stop so he promptly makes his way accross the street and as soon as he gets past the car makes his way to my window.  Big mistake on his part, light is still red, little or no traffic... I light her up and blow the light off, he sh!ts himself and flips me off.  Good thing I waited until he couldn't jump under the car.  I sure he wouldn't fit.

In the last couple of years a guy in Scottsdale AZ ran a fleeing criminal down and parked his Hummer on top of the guy's get away car. I don't remember then citizen being charged...but this is AZ, not California. Ïf you can't do the time...
