For sure. In fact...just get a raptor petcock now...and a carb from lancer so you'll never have to deal with the vacuum hoses and diaphrams. Might aswell get his joint purchase special and grab a cam while you're at it. And since you'll be going in to swap out your cam you might aswell have a wiseco piston on hand and have your cylinder bored out. All those mods gotta breathe though so while you've got the head still off awaiting your bore job you should just go ahead and get the head professionally ported. Then throw a K&N filter and a raask exhaust on and you'll be golden Cool

Seriously though...I've done about 75% of all the above and Im getting to 60 in less than 5 seconds. And Im lovin it.

Haha you're right, if I bring it back to the shop, those mechanic's will be like that's the problem Roll Eyes

She ran better at first after installing the new hoses, but still the same problem. Next step will be to replace the fuelcock? How much more expensive would it be to do all of the above with the replacement Raptor fuelcock, rather than stock? How long would stock fuelcock last if I installed a new one? My Savage has 13,000 miles and I'm sure that's the original fuelcock that's on there...

I replaced the petcock and she's working like a charm. Just got my motorcycle endorsement so I have her out on the roads no problem. Thank you everyone for being so patient with me
