ok...ill try changing the jets back and see if thats the issue.  im almost to the point of buying a bottle of seafoam and seeing if the little leprechauns inside will fix it.   Grin  bill feel free to chime in whenever

here's what I think, for what it's worth.

If it runs at idle and doesnt when you give it gas, most likely your main jet is clogged. Idling relies on your idle jet, when you open the throttle if the main jet is clogged you get no gas, only air in the mix therefore the engine dies. Hope it makes sense.

I was going to write the same thing, that is exactly what happened to my bike,it took a full blast from my compressor about 180 psi to dislodge the offending piece of grit, but it worked.

And with all due respect to Seafoam advocates, and I use it myself. It is more of a preventative measure than a fixing tool. It's worth a shot in your case, only $10 to lose but I wouldnt hold my breath that it would clean a clogged jet. And if it does I want to know about it Smiley

Hash,

Don't know what the problem is, but your symptoms sound exactly like the classic symptoms of a clogged pilot jet.

I'm just sayin'.

I run the same jets as you, with a glass pack muffler and stock air filter/airbox with no door and inlet snorkel plugged off. Mine did the same thing. Pull your jets, you've got some crud in them, it doesn't take much to knock a "modern" carb into the paperweight category. I ran a paperclip through mine. Now the carb works great (but the electrical system is fragged...)  Angry

I wish Suzuki had been a touch less slavish in their devotion to ripping off obsolete Brit bikes. Grin
