"Motorist Lao Yang said his car seemed to get
heavier and heavier as he drove along the street"  Grin Grin Grin

Now please stop complaining about how warm
it is this summer, at least where you live the
road is not getting tangled up in your kevlar band!

Road melts in heatwave
Stuck in traffic /Quirky China, News 9 July 2010

Dozens of vehicles stuck to a road in heatwave-hit
China after the tarmac melted in the hot sun.

The road, in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province,
had just been resurfaced the previous day, reports
the Zhengzhou Evening Post.

It melted in 40C temperatures which saw the street
surface temperature reach as high as 70C.

...and now we know the melting point of walmart  Cheesy

Perhaps not everything made in China sucks. Would you like to face a Chinese-made AK-47 fed with Chinese ammunition?

Gotta agree with you, for the money there are
actually a few pretty good brands out there.

A friend of mine is distributing chinese-made 'Johnson'
guitars, and paired up with decent 'Tesla pickups' they
sound pretty bad as$ and stay in tune as well.

I'll tell you a story.-

Personally everytime I need a new guitar and such
I go to the pawn shops or trade-in section at music
centers, the last little jewel I found was an
incredible Ovation balladeer Model. 1111 from
the early 90's with the great OP 24 electronics
set and a carbon fiber shell (not plastic).

This Connecticut made beauty was laying in
the corner of "freedom guitar" all dusty, alone
and forgotten just because it had little crack on
top (maybe 4" long) surely caused by the dry
san diego summers (EZ fix with epoxy or resin).

I had about $500 to spend and the floorguy was pushing
on me an incredible takamine i fell in love with, but after
examining and playing the ovation for 30 seconds i was
sold. Best $200 bucks I've ever spent! I'll never sell it.

Moral of the story:
give other peoples' good 'junk' a new beginning  Wink

Chinese made... Ok I gues technically it is pieced together by Chinese but it's Russian ingenuity and design, all they have to do is follow directions! As for the ammo, well shoot, lead is their specialty!

The food is delicious tho

It would seem they made the road to LOOK like a road, but the materials must not have been up to the task. If they build a gun outta pot metal instead of high quality steel, then pulling the trigger could be bad. The guns Ive seen work just fine. IDK who came up w/ the materials , but Id bet someones butt is in a sling.

Great news everyone!  Chinese junk is about to go up in price  Cheesy

Companies brace for end of cheap made-in-China era
Costlier labor, currency are ending cheap made-in-China era;
manufacturers struggle to adapt

Factory workers demanding better wages and working conditions are
hastening the eventual end of an era of cheap costs that helped make
southern coastal China the world's factory floor.

A series of strikes over the past two months have been a rude wakeup
call for the many foreign companies that depend on China's low costs
to compete overseas, from makers of Christmas trees to manufacturers
of gadgets like the iPad.

Where once low-tech factories and scant wages were welcomed
in a China eager to escape isolation and poverty, workers are now
demanding a bigger share of the profits.

The government, meanwhile, is pushing foreign companies to make
investments in areas it believes will create greater wealth for China,
like high technology.
