Safety Note!!
07/08/10 at 10:39:51
I just had an experiance that I thought I would pass along as a safety note. I just encountered my first heat bump. It was a beauty.
It wasn't there yesterday, but due to the heat, it's there today! It darn near did me in 'cause I wasn't expecting it!

The asphalt or concrete expands at a seam because of the heat and heaves up. Sorry for the confusion.

We get then a lot in Wisconsin and because of the freezing in the winter and then expanding in the summer.

Urban roads here, are heat cracked every 20 ft... Then,.. they repair them with tar snakes...
That's why I went to 12.5" shocks... and I usually run my tires a little low...

We have them too, and I noticed they were a little worse lately. I have a couple mile stretch of them on my way to work. The outside tire track seems to be the best side, less of a ramp!

My only problem was the surprise. Not there yesterday but there today. I thought I knew where all of them were.
