On the stock shock is there a left or right? The owners manual states that to change the ride you turn CCW to soften CW to stiffen. That means the little holes would be opposite of each other correct? Maybe it's just been a long day... Huh

Awesome...no seriously, the tension adjustment holes for the shocks are now facing opposite directions on my bike. The right shock adjustment hole is facing the front of the bike and the left shock adjustment hole is facing the back of the bike. I have them both set on the lightest setting I.E 1.

That is normal. One hole forwards, one backwards. If both face the same way, the allen wrench stuck in to turn them will hang up in the spokes or sprocket.

Once you find the setting you like you can have the openings face the same direction. If symmetry matters to you.

You should try it after jacking the bike up and swapping in a set of 800 Intruder shocks. Much harder to adjust, super soft ride though. Intruders and Savages should have each other's shocks from the factory, Intruders sit too high.
