Removing My Floorboards

I took off the mini-floorboards today.  I was coming home from work and realized I felt cramped on the bike.

When I thought about it, I realized that since the boards sit absolutely flat, I was riding with my heels off the back of them.

Stay with me here, I'm going to try some math Smiley

The boards are 8" long, that means that 4" are behind the midpoint.  If I have my foot on the back edge, that seems to mean I have effectively eliminated the 4" forward controls set I put on!

So I pulled them off and put the OEM pegs back on.  I'll have to see if there is a more adjustable set that might work for me.  And I'll have to figure out what to do with  this set.

Can they be made to fit ?

Not that I need them, but armed w/ a cutting wheel and a welder, there is little that I can't make fit Wink
