adjusting gear shift height (Read 460 times)

RTC Senior Member Offline SuzukiSavage.com Rocks! Posts: 260 El Paso, TX (Ft. Bliss) Gender:	adjusting gear shift height 04/17/10 at 22:48:36 can anyone explain to me how to adjust the gear shifter height? right now i have to lift my foot off the peg to shift and it's kind of annoying.

California Gender:	Re: adjusting gear shift height Reply #1 - 04/17/10 at 23:00:18 there's a rod connecting the shift peg with a lever on the engine. there's 2 nuts on the rod, loosen both. turn the rod to raise or lower the shift peg. lock in place by tightening the 2 nuts.

It's been awhile since I did that, but it seems like that was an issue.

Posts: 1897	Re: adjusting gear shift height Reply #6 - 04/18/10 at 09:43:04 The rod is like a turn buckle. loosen both lock nuts, one left handed and one right handed, and turn the rod to raise or lower the pedal.
