I have never seen purposly bent fork tubes before, but the guy swears it came from the factory this way. Am I crazy or just behind the times? This is a 2008 model. Huh

something is wrong there . . .  don't buy it unless you have them replace the forks.  I have a 2008 model, and, no, they didn't bend the forks for that one year.

now that I look at it some more, I kinda like having the wheel closer, how much of a mod would it be to get a new front end put on??  what would it do to the handling?  is there a front end with a wider front tire that works well??

Yep.  I "modded" mine like that on the rear bumper of a Ford van.

Customized by crash!!!  Forks s/b straight as an arrow. Look at any new bike and you won't see anything like you picture.

I had an '08 also, and they most certainly didn't look like that.  I'd guess that it really affects handling, since the pivot angle is still stock.  And probably not affected for the better, but I could be wrong. Undecided
