Not an entry, since it's from last summer, and I didn't have my bike. Sad  But I wanted to prove that they DO exist, and provide some encouragement if Doc's isn't accepted! Grin  This is the one Dad fell off of a couple years ago.  We were putting the head back on after a rebuild.

I've got a picture of one (true wooden) with my bike.. I just forgot to get it off the phone and post it last night.   I'll get to it tonight.  I also need to come up with a new quest if the picture is a winner.  That won't be easy!

I'll give till this evening, but you need to hurry.

I didn't expect the windmill to be such a difficult find. I guess I should have looked around to see how many folks participating were in the south west which is where most of these type of wind mills were located. I see three of them on my way to work every night, two on the same property. http://annemccaffreyfans.org/forum/images/smilies/shrug.gif

Very generous of you to extend the deadline!

I was LUCKY to find the one I did!  Out exploring some new roads and caught a glimpse.. woah!!!
You said it had to be "working".  Well, the blades were turning, but no way I could determine if the rest was working or not.  Ranchers around these parts tend to get a bit uppity about people fiddling around their wells.. or even getting on the property!

I'm not sure.  Satellite picture looks like the top is a garden of some kind.  Maybe a root cellar?
It is located on a  "dude" ranch / resort.

looks like a golf course on the left ,I can see a flag stick through the V on the tree, and a piece of wood that could be a yard marker for a driving range.

Thank you.. you are all much too kind!  Cheesy

Hmmmm...
I don't know how well this will go over with BabyHog.  Let me know if it is a bit ... too far over the top.

Find.. an animal on the road.
Qualifications.
Must be ALIVE and healthy.  (No road kill).
Must be relatively mobile.  (No turtles people.. OK?)
No Dogs.  No cats.  (Dime a dozen).
Must have gotten on the road because it was their idea.  (luring with food is OK)
Must be ON THE ROAD..  not to the side, not behind some fence.
and, yes, you need to get the picture of you and/or your bike AND the animal AND the road, all in the same shot.
Long range pictures OK.. as long as the above conditions can be verified by the contents of the picture.

Bonus points for exotic animals.  Bonus points for non-domestic.
The perfect picture would be a huge Grizzly bear getting ready to swat your motorcycle into the trees.

What you think?  Doable??

(Got this idea after way too many close encounters of the bovine kind last weekend)

I did not notice a golf course.
Google Earth: 30 deg 26' 33.50" North  98 deg 48' 40.20" West

Of course, it may have been put in after the picture was taken.

Will have to decline participating in this search do to the element of danger of being hit by another vehicle while trying to get the picture.

For safety.
You are allowed to park your motorcycle on the shoulder.
Your critter of preference may also be on the shoulder, but NOT behind any fence or any other barrier.

The idea here is to commune with nature.  Roll Eyes

NOTE: If BabyHog says this is not a good one..  I do have an alternate.
Won't hurt my feelings either way!

This is what concerned me.
