There is a 73,381 pound bell about a mile from my office....that until recently was the largest free swinging bell in the world.

I think that probably qualifies... Shocked...

I am planning on riding my bike down and taking the picture on Saturday afternoon....the rain is supposed to stop by noon.  That will be my first ride on the new 5 month Cafe' conversion.  The bell was supposed to be a focal point of a large office/retail development called the Millenium Tower that was planned to start in the year 2000.  They got the bell ....then the economy collapsed and the project fell through.  But they do have the bell...and it is really cool!  The website claims that when it was installed and rung.....it coudl be heard 25 miles away (maybe dogs and bats!).

The plan is for Saturday afternoon!  We are supposed to have rain for the next few days, then in the afternoon on Saturday it will clear up.  This will be a great "maiden voyage" for the reconfigured bike.

This is the first time I have been in the Scavenger Hunt Thread....so this may have already been done.  But I recently saw a show on PBS that featured theme shaped buildings.  The wooden shoe, one shaped like a goose, the Ketchup Bottle water tower, a clam diner that was shaped like a cardboard carryout box.

How about a "theme" shaped building?

There is a taco place made to look like a 50's gas station. May have been a real gas station at one time, does that count?
