There's no contradiction there, if you think about it. You can give the pipe an offset from the rear mount that
requires the bend at the inlet (Jardine) or have less offset and no bend (Dyna). Any angle/offset pair can be used as long as the trig works out. The stock muffler has the angle because it's such a fatty.. the muffler's radius makes for a large offset.
The Jardine slashcut does look pretty sweet, can't argue with that
