Ok I looked in the tech page and saw a pic of the setup for adjusting the springs/shocks, however As I stated in my Newbie post, I am not mechannicaly adept at all, so with that being said does anyone here know how I need to go about adjusting my stock shocks on my War Pony? Thanx guys these boards give me almost as much pleasure as riding does !!

ok - I see in you other post you want to carry more weight - adding pre-load will help with this some - as to where one to do it - if look on the bottom chrome cup the spring soits in you'll see a hole in the side of this cup - this allows you insert a large punch or a standard size phillps screw driver will do

the how is like this - the pre-load is controlled by a upside down stairstep that steps up a pin - you have 5 steps going clockwise will add pre-load - but when you turn past the hardest setting it will drop back to the softest - it would be best to take a flash light and look into the under side of the shock and see which step you are starting on

that make sense?

Reply #4 - 02/07/10 at 12:48:35 very important - what size of tire is on the bike? read it off the sidewall stock is 140/80 - some folks put on different sizes because they are cheaper - if you have a non stock tire size you may need to shorten some bolts
