I believe there are 3 bolts on each side of the underside of the fender going into the struts. Some people have said that those struts do NOT provide the support for the passenger seat, but it's up to you to decide if there is enough support for any potential passengers you might carry.

2 bolts on the outside u can see, and one underneath that u can't.

i took the entire thing off, not sure what to do with the rails and backrest lol but i like it better with them both off!
