Rear turn signals supposed to be running lights?
10/10/09 at 05:36:24

My rear turn signals just signal.  Are they supposed to be on all the time as running lights?  I was surprised to notice this the other day.

Thanks

Same for mine -- only the front signals are also running lights.

I'm sure there are aftermarket devices to alter the situation.

■ Automatic turn signal cancellation
■ Running light option built-in
■ Brake flash and override option built-in
...and all I do is replace the flasher relay?

Sounds too good to be true. anyone tried them?

If the above converter has failed I will be getting a second Cateye Taillight, mount the pair on either side of the license plate: ()[plate]() and will wire through a trailer light converter to put run/brake/turn on each.

It's normal, the rear turn sig's are single filament.  the brake light is the running light.

OK, that makes sense.  I've probably spent too much time in weird countries with weird lights, even driving on the wrong side of the road!

Thanks

The electrical connection lights actually work great IMO. They are easily visible in daylight but really show their stuff at night or in low-viz situations. A 3 point light pattern helps. I thought it was well worth $50.
