How do you clean your savage?
09/13/09 at 12:28:57

I usually give it a cleaning every couple of sundays with a proper washdown, dry and then I spray the metal and plastic bits with some polisher stuff the guy at the shop recommended and wipe off immediately. I clean the mirrors and the speedo, and that's about it.

I'd like to do a PROPER full wash.Any recommendations on products or methodologies? I don't mean like an 8 hour clean, something like 2 hours.

whenever it's so dirty it's embarassing - also when the cat "went" on the seat.

that cat's lucky to be alive ...

A proper 2 hr. wash?
you gotta be kiddin', we ride these bikes, you betta go find yourself an HD forum.

A full wash for me is adjust the valves, change the oil and filter, spray with degreaser, pressure wash and blow dry at 60 mph for 15 minutes  Grin

followed by a beer to wash the bugs down   Cool

I still have mud on my bike from two weeks ago LOL. I usually spray it down with soap and water, let it soak for a min and then wash it off. Use a brush with soap and start at the top and work my way down..... I almost always take it to a car wash though, so much easier and I don't have any way to do it at my apartment.  BOOOOOO I hate apartments so much.

After the air force I rented ONE apt. People screaming, chairs scraping, doors slamming, toilets flushing, kids crying,, NO way.. I went & hunted down small houses out behind houses. In Odessa, they called those guest houses. I guess not so common these days. They were all on the old side of town.

If you spray the motor with a hose ,don't you run the risk of electrical problems?
