No, not done.
Any potential advantage of a darkside front is not known because we have no 19 inch auto tire that is of a physical format suitable to replace the front motorcycle tire.
Best we have done for the Savage is to identify some Chen Sheng rip offs of an old BMW touring bike Metzler design that offered an old style hard rubber long mileage touring design. For cheap.
=============
Boofer, please don't start out too all fired enthusiastic about Darkside tires -- start out all skeptical instead and get slowly converted by hard evidence against your better judgment.
It is safer that way.
You got to savor the experience a while, roll it around in your mouth and let your taste buds slowly report all the nuances.
Remember, when we see someone jump in all enthusiastic-like it reminds us of young Barry Blowup, a young man that showed us that folks can read a somber discussion (skimming just the surface) and then run go do some amazingly silly stuff based off of what little bit he had read.
He never read that putting 175 pounds of air in a tire causes it to blow up like a stick of dynamite. So he did it.
He never read that "sticking your bead" with spray truck bed liner stuff is a bad thing to do. So he did it.
He didn't know about having to lubricate the bead to get it to seat, and NEVER going past 90 psi to seat the bead of a tire.
He didn't understand about tubes, spoke heads, rim strips and spoons.
Barry was either a troll who spun us a complete tall tale of his personal tire mounting disaster or he was an eternal warning against enthusiasm in the realm of tires and tire mounting.
You takes your pick.
And here you come, all enthusiastic asking us about darkside front tires. You are going to upset our robot with questions like that.
