Carburettor theory

I'm following the advice of "SV og LS" and reading Haynes Motorcycle Fuel Systems Techbook.

I've run across a formula where they talk about jet area.

Does anyone know the diameter of the main jets based on size?
Does anyone know the diameter of the stock needle jet?
Does anyone know the diameter of the stock needle?

Serobot, thanks for the attempt...

I've seen this chart reproduced on a dozen different sites. Since no one seems to know where it comes from or how it was created, I'm a bit skeptical.

This page suggests that even if the Mikuni label is supposed to represent flow rate, it doesn't do a very good job.

I hadn't seen that one. Thanks.
Unfortunately, the jets they size are between our pilot and main. I could try to extrapolate, but I doubt it would be usable information.
